1 Timothy 2:8 – May 15, 2020
I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I can tell you that certain circumstances that have happened this week have led me to this verse. The situation brought anger and confusion, instead of immediately praying, I lashed out. What I quickly realized was that anger and controversy make prayer difficult, I was speaking from my mind, not my heart and that displeases God. Our goal is to have a right relationship with God and others. And in that we must be willing to yield, lifting holy hands, and trust God’s plan.

It is still not easy, but my relationship with God is far more important than anything else…and the last thing that I want to do is displease Him.
