2 Chronicles 26:16 – June 11, 2019

But when he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction.  For he was unfaithful to the Lord his God.

Thought:

King Uzziah demonstrates the story of success.  At the tender age of 16 Uzziah began to reign Judah.  At the beginning of his reign Uzziah showed every sign of becoming a great leader.  He was doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord, he sought God in the decisions, and God allowed him to prosper.  Until pride got in the way.  He had grown very powerful with success at every corner, he was superior and full of authority.  The focus turned from “look at what God has done”, to “look at all I have done.”  The day pride entered, is the day King Uzziah began to fall.

Success achieved through force may look like strength, but it’s actually weakness.  Don’t let success be your guide, instead follow and seek God and by doing this you will prosper.
