Acts 8:4 – September 6, 2018

The believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went.

The Book of Acts starts small with 120 Christ-followers wondering what to do now that Jesus has gone back to be with his Father in heaven.  It ends with Paul preaching in Rome, the capital of the empire and a place of power and influence.  In between, thousands come to believe in Jesus, churches start from scratch, people healed, others endure imprisonment for their faith, and the Gospel spreads out from the epicenter of Jerusalem.  How does it happen?  Simple, God’s Spirit filled ordinary people who are called by Jesus and gives them power to put their faith into action.  The mission and message of God is not exclusive to experts and professionals…it depends on all of us.
